Shehu Sani mourns late Edwin Clark, describes him as restless voice of reason

Shehu Sani, the former senator representing Kaduna Central, has mourned the passing of Chief Edwin Clark, describing him as a true voice of reason who fought tirelessly for peace, unity, equity, and justice in Nigeria.

In a heartfelt tribute shared on his verified Facebook page, Sani said, “Chief Edwin Clark; the nation has lost a great and distinguished elder statesman. He was a champion for the cause of unity, peace, equity, and justice. A restless voice of reason. May his soul rest in peace. Ameen.”

The announcement of Clark’s death came on February 17, 2025, when his family confirmed the loss of the 97-year-old former Federal Commissioner for Information and respected leader from the South-South region.

The statement, issued by Professor C.C. Go Clark, a representative of the family, expressed gratitude for the support and prayers received during this difficult time. Further details about the funeral and arrangements will be shared later by the family.
