VeryDarkMan: Nedu steps down from Honest Bunch Podcast amid sex-for-role allegations

Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, has stepped down from his role as the host of The Honest Bunch Podcast. Nedu made this decision after facing a lot of negative attention surrounding him.

Social media critic Martins Ortse, also known as VeryDarkMan, accused Nedu of demanding sex for movie roles from a female content creator named Jojo.

This claim was made during a feud between VeryDarkMan and comedian Deeone.

Deeone had recently appeared on The Honest Bunch Podcast and claimed he had proof that VeryDarkMan was gay.

VeryDarkMan was upset by this and threatened to release the names of celebrities Nedu had slept with in exchange for roles. However, Jojo denied the allegations, saying she has never been involved with Nedu.

In response to the situation, Nedu announced his decision to step down from hosting the podcast. He said it was important to protect the integrity of the show and his family.

Nedu shared a statement where he explained the reasons for his choice: “The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me.

Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey, but with that responsibility has come a lot of scrutiny and accusations. This has taken a toll on me personally.”

He added that stepping away was necessary for his peace of mind, his family’s well-being, and the future of the podcast.

Nedu expressed his hope that his decision would end the negativity surrounding him and allow the show to continue thriving.

Nedu also reaffirmed his commitment to fostering honest discussions, but emphasized that when those discussions result in constant attacks and misunderstandings, it’s time to step back. He looks forward to new opportunities that align with his values.
