They can go to hell — Ribadu blasts Canada for denying Nigeria’s Defence Chief visa

Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has strongly criticized Canada for refusing visas to the country’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, and other top military officials.

Ribadu, speaking in Abuja at an event organized by the National Association of the Institute for Security Studies (AANISS), expressed his frustration over the situation.

He said Canada’s actions were disrespectful but emphasized that Nigeria must work hard to become stronger.

The issue came to light when CDS Christopher Musa revealed that he and some military officials were supposed to attend an event in Canada to honor injured veterans.

Musa expressed his disappointment, saying the incident was a reminder that Nigeria must stand firm as a nation and not be taken for granted.

Reacting to this, Ribadu praised Musa for openly discussing the visa denial and responded strongly, saying, “They can go to hell.”

Despite his anger over the issue, Ribadu emphasized the need for Nigeria to focus on improving itself, stating, “This is another reason we must work hard to fix our country.”

This development has sparked discussions about international relations and how Nigeria should position itself on the global stage.
