EPL: Arne Slot, two players sent off after Liverpool held to 2-2 draw at Everton

Liverpool played out an intense 2-2 draw against Everton in the last Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.

The match had a dramatic ending, with Liverpool manager Arne Slot and two players sent off.

Everton took an early lead when Beto scored the opening goal. However, Liverpool responded quickly, with Alexis MacAllister heading in the equalizer just four minutes later. The first half ended with both teams level at 1-1.

In the second half, Mohamed Salah put Liverpool ahead, reacting quickly to score past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

It looked like the Reds had secured all three points, but James Tarkowski struck a stunning volley in the 98th minute to rescue a draw for Everton.

Tensions flared after the final whistle, leading to red cards for Abdoulaye Doucoure and Curtis Jones. Arne Slot was also sent off for arguing with referee Michael Oliver.

As a result, Doucoure will miss Everton’s next match against Crystal Palace, while Slot and Jones will be suspended for Liverpool’s upcoming game against Wolves.
