Kenneth Okonkwo, the former spokesman for the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, has officially resigned from the party. He stated that his resignation will be effective from February 25, 2025.
In a statement, Okonkwo explained that the Labour Party has been facing ongoing internal conflicts and leadership issues, which led to his decision.
He emphasized that his goal in politics has always been to work for good governance, and he believes that can no longer be achieved within the Labour Party.
Okonkwo added that he plans to join other Nigerians who are committed to creating a better future for the country.
He expressed hope for a Nigeria where leaders are incorruptible and focused on the nation’s growth.
His resignation will take effect on the anniversary of the 2023 presidential election, marking a fresh start as he explores new ways to contribute to the country’s governance.
