On Monday, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Miller Dantawaye, met with a team from the British Embassy, led by Mr. Andrew Marshall.
The meeting aimed to discuss ways to improve collaboration between the Kogi State Police and the British Embassy to address security challenges in the region.
The meeting focused on sharing ideas about intelligence-led operations and strategies to combat kidnapping.
Mr. Marshall emphasized the importance of working together to gather information and track criminal activities more effectively.
CP Dantawaye expressed his commitment to strengthening security efforts in Kogi State. He highlighted the value of international partnerships and the advanced resources that foreign partners like the British Embassy bring to security operations.
He also encouraged the Embassy to share any intelligence about criminal activities, even if they aren’t directly involved in operations, so that local law enforcement can respond quickly.
The visit was a step toward improving security strategies and reinforcing the partnership between local and international forces to fight crime in Kogi State.
