On his own, El-Rufai might not even secure a Senate seat – Presidency reacts to alleged plans to unseat Tinubu

The presidency has dismissed claims that former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has plans to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, made this known during an interview with TVC News. He stated that El-Rufai does not have enough political influence to create problems for President Tinubu.

Bwala further argued that El-Rufai cannot win a Senate seat on his own, let alone the presidency. According to him, the former governor only becomes politically relevant when he aligns with a strong and revolutionary leader.

He added, “El-Rufai needs a solid revolutionary figure to thrive. On his own, he might not even secure a Senate seat.”

This statement comes amid rumors that El-Rufai is working against President Tinubu, but the presidency has dismissed such claims, insisting that the former Kaduna governor lacks the political power to do so.
