On Monday, February 3, Cordelia Okonye, the grieving mother of Augusta Osedion, visited her daughter’s grave to mark what would have been Augusta’s 23rd birthday. This emotional tribute was a reminder of the young influencer’s life, which was tragically cut short.

Augusta was found murdered in July 2023, and her boyfriend, Benjamin Best (also known as Killaboi), confessed to the crime on social media. After his confession, he fled Nigeria, escaping justice.

Eventually, Killaboi was apprehended in Sierra Leone, where he had altered his identity and acquired a new passport. Despite his arrest, no further action has been taken against him, and he remains free. Shockingly, he has continued to post on social media, unaffected by the crime he committed.

For her part, Cordelia Okonye is left with memories and the ongoing pain of losing her daughter, while the case remains unresolved.
