Cristiano Ronaldo, the famous football star from Portugal, recently shared his thoughts on the talk around his goal-scoring record.
While many fans are excited about the possibility of him reaching 1000 career goals, Ronaldo said that the constant discussion about it is getting a bit annoying.
Ronaldo, who has played for top clubs like Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, now represents Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
So far in his long career, he has scored 923 goals in 1261 official games. This impressive record makes him the only player in history to have scored over 900 official goals.
In the 150-year history of football, only 24 players have managed to score 500 or more goals in their careers. Among those players, only four are still active: Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Luis Suarez, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Even though fans are eagerly waiting for his 1000th goal, Ronaldo explained that he is not focused solely on reaching that number.
In a recent interview with El Chiringuito,
He said,
“If I could achieve it, it would be great… but I’m not obsessed with it. It’s getting a bit annoying to talk about.”
This season, Ronaldo has been in good form. He scored 23 goals and made four assists in 25 games for his club. He also holds the record for the most international goals in men’s football.
Ronaldo’s journey shows that while records and numbers are impressive, his main focus remains on playing football and enjoying the game.
His attitude reminds us that passion for the sport often goes beyond just setting milestones.
