Police rescue 23 kidnapped victims in Kaduna community

On February 2, 2025, the Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with military personnel, rescued 23 individuals who had been kidnapped in the Kajuru area. Acting on reliable information about armed bandits moving near Doka Village in Kajuru Local Government Area (LGA), the police advanced into the bush and encountered the bandits attempting to relocate their victims to Kajuru Forest.

The operation, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru Division, resulted in heavy casualties for the bandits, forcing them to retreat into the forest with gunshot wounds. As a result, the 23 kidnapped victims, previously reported abducted in Kauru LGA, were rescued and safely reunited with their families.

To prevent further criminal activities, the area has been placed under heightened surveillance and aggressive patrols. The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reassured the public of the Command’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents. He emphasized that the command would continue to collaborate with the military and other security agencies to combat crime and maintain peace across the state.
