The Nigerian gospel music industry is facing a serious controversy, with Eezee Tee, the CEO of Eezee Conceptz, at the center of it. He has been accused of manipulating contracts, withholding royalties, and controlling artists unfairly. Many are now questioning whether there is an agenda to secularize gospel music.
The controversy began when gospel music producer Dr. Roy shared a viral video accusing Eezee Tee of not paying him his royalties. He claimed this left him struggling financially. His statement sparked outrage, with many social media users now calling Eezee Conceptz “EezeeTiff Concept.”
Popular YouTuber and analyst Beingreal George believes the issue goes beyond just one artist. He suggested that the controversy is part of a bigger plan to make gospel music more secular.
According to George, Eezee Conceptz intentionally delayed Mercy Chinwo’s last album to extend her contract. He also claimed the label restricted her from attending certain church events to maintain control over her career.
Gospel artist Jaga Testimony also spoke on the issue. He described the controversy as an attack on “the system of God.” In a video message, he warned Eezee Tee that his actions were raising serious concerns.
This dispute has sparked a wider discussion about the financial side of gospel music. Should gospel music be treated like business, or should it focus solely on ministry?
Ezekiel ThankGod (Eezee Tee) and Mercy Chinwo remain in the spotlight as fans and industry experts debate these issues. Many believe this controversy reveals deeper problems within the Christian music industry.
“I only see one agenda in all of this—a push to secularize the gospel industry, if it isn’t already secularized,” he said. “When you compare this to the secular music industry, where similar disputes happen, it raises a question. If these issues are now common in gospel music, what does that say?”
As the discussions continue, one big question remains: Is gospel music being secularized, or is this just another case of music industry politics?
