Ude-Okoye and Samuel Anyanwu are in fierce competition for the position of National Secretary of the party, which has led to rising tensions. Ude-Okoye had arrived at the meeting venue before Anyanwu and acting National Chairman Ambassador Iliya Damagum. However, when Anyanwu arrived, Ude-Okoye was violently removed from the room by what appeared to be thugs. This action led to a physical confrontation.
