Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, has opened up about the reason behind his public feud with Burna Boy. The two Nigerian music stars have been exchanging words on social media recently, and Cubana Chief Priest says that jealousy is at the heart of their issues.
During an interview on Channels Television’s Rubbin Minds, Cubana Chief Priest explained that Burna Boy became upset because of his close relationship with another artist, Davido. He claims Burna Boy wanted him on his side, but he chose to work with Davido instead.
According to Cubana Chief Priest, neither he nor Davido has ever spoken about Burna Boy. He believes Burna Boy’s actions were based on jealousy, as the Afrofusion singer was imagining things about their friendship.
The feud between the two celebrities escalated further when Speed Darlington, another Nigerian artist, was arrested after making accusations about Burna Boy’s connection with American music executive Diddy. Speed Darlington suggested that Burna Boy might have been involved with Diddy to win a Grammy, which led to his arrest.
This public dispute highlights how jealousy and rumors can create tension and drama in the Nigerian music industry, even among some of its biggest stars.
