In the early hours of Monday, suspected kidnappers stormed the Chikakore area of Kubwa in Abuja’s Bwari Area Council. The attackers, numbering about 30 and armed with AK-47 rifles, invaded the home of Adefija Michael Akinropo. They abducted him, his wife, his son, and his elder brother.
The gunmen also attacked another building that houses a poultry farm. During this raid, they kidnapped a man and left his wife injured.
The incident has left residents of the area in fear and calling for better security measures. When contacted, Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police, promised to gather details and provide updates on the situation.
This unfortunate event highlights the growing insecurity in some parts of the Federal Capital Territory.
