In the chaos, two NDLEA vehicles were shot by the police in an attempt to prevent the agency from taking the suspect. The eyewitness mentioned that some people started to suspect that the police were possibly helping the woman with her drug trade, suggesting an unusual relationship between the suspect and the officers.
The NDLEA confirmed the incident. Spokesperson Howells Oba explained that their team had properly recorded their entry at the police station before the operation, but the police blocked them. He also confirmed that two NDLEA vehicles were damaged in the shooting and that they were working on resolving the issue.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, said he was on his way to the scene to understand what happened and ensure the situation was handled properly.
This incident has raised questions about possible corruption within the police force and the role of law enforcement in supporting illegal activities.
