A tragic and shocking event has left the residents of Kibwareng village in disbelief after a man murdered his estranged wife at her parents’ home in Nandi County, Kenya.

Juma Hannis Shimano, a 32-year-old man from Nairobi, allegedly traveled to the home of his wife’s parents and fatally attacked Winnie Akhalusa in their kitchen. The couple, who had recently separated, had ongoing tensions that tragically escalated into violence.

Detectives at the crime scene found a disturbing handwritten note. This blood-stained document contained a detailed plan for the attack, including the items needed, the strategy, and even how Juma intended to cover up his crime.

Adding to the shock, Juma had made an unsettling Facebook post shortly before the incident. He shared a picture of himself with Winnie, writing:
“Stop asking me about my wife. Here she is; I have revealed her and am not scared of losing her. Respect the OGs.”

On January 16, Juma entered the kitchen where Winnie was alone, while her parents and children were in another room. He stabbed her in the neck and back, leaving her fatally injured. Winnie’s father, alerted by his wife, rushed in and found his daughter gravely wounded.

In a desperate attempt to stop Juma, the father confronted him. During the chaos, Juma threw his children’s birth certificates at him. Tragically, Winnie managed to cry out that her husband had killed her before succumbing to her injuries.
