Singer Davido has responded to the drama surrounding his associate Ubi Franklin and fellow musician Spyro. Recently, Spyro accused Franklin of using Davido’s name to deceive him into performing at a birthday party in Ghana. According to Spyro, Franklin promised to pay him $5,000 for the performance but failed to do so after the event.
In his defense, Ubi Franklin explained that he did not pay Spyro because the singer owed him money. Franklin revealed that Spyro was supposed to pay him a 10% commission for helping him purchase a car. He also stated that Spyro still owes him N2 million.
The exchange has sparked mixed reactions, especially with Davido’s name being involved in the dispute. Taking to his Instagram stories, Davido reposted Franklin’s response video and apologized for his name being linked to the situation. His message was brief, simply saying: “Pls, I’m sorry.”
As the drama unfolds, the public continues to weigh in on the accusations and the role of everyone involved.
