Samuel Anyanwu has officially resumed his position as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), despite the ongoing internal conflict. He arrived at the party’s secretariat around 10:56 AM and headed straight to his office, where he was welcomed by his staff.
During a brief interaction with the press from his desk, Anyanwu addressed the controversy sparked by a statement from Debo Ologunagba, the PDP National Publicity Secretary. Ologunagba had recently confirmed that the party had received an Appeal Court judgment which recognized Sunday Okoye as the National Secretary.
However, Anyanwu dismissed Ologunagba’s statement, clarifying that it was just his personal opinion, not the party’s official stance. He emphasized that he had filed an appeal and chose not to criticize Ologunagba, suggesting that perhaps the facts were misunderstood.
