In a dramatic rescue, two factory workers were saved on Saturday after getting trapped in a diesel reservoir in the Ikosi area of Lagos. The incident, which occurred around 10 a.m., involved emergency responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the state fire service.
According to Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, the workers were conducting repair work on the diesel tank when the accident happened. One worker accidentally fell into the reservoir, and the second worker fell in while trying to rescue his colleague.
Both workers were found in serious condition but were promptly given first aid, including CPR, by the emergency team. They were later transported to the hospital by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) for further medical care.
