A tragic incident occurred in South Africa when 32-year-old Shimoné Fluks was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend. The crime took place on December 14, 2024, in the town of Bersig, Montagu, as confirmed by the advocacy group Women For Change.

According to reports, Shimoné managed to run to a neighbor’s house seeking help after being attacked. However, she collapsed from the severe stab wounds to her neck. Despite the efforts of emergency medical responders, Shimoné was declared dead at the scene.

Her boyfriend, also aged 32, fled the scene after the attack. He was arrested the following day. Authorities believe the boyfriend had a history of abusive behavior, and it is alleged that he had previously stabbed Shimoné during an earlier altercation.

This heartbreaking event highlights the ongoing issue of domestic violence and the need for continued efforts to protect women from such violence.

“Shimoné leaves behind her child. We are heartbroken over the loss of such a beautiful soul. Fly high, Sister,” the statement added.
