Nigerian music star, Burna Boy, has spoken up about Speed Darlington’s release from police custody.
Speed Darlington was arrested again in November, just two months after his first arrest reportedly linked to Burna Boy.
Darlington was accused of mocking Burna Boy over his association with American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is currently facing charges related to sexual abuse and human trafficking.
On Tuesday, Burna Boy reacted to Darlington’s release via his Instagram story. He said his critics are fortunate that he has much to lose, or some of them “wouldn’t still be around.”
In his post, Burna Boy wrote:
“When they talk, nobody listens, but it’s a huge problem when I respond.
“You all are lucky I have too much to lose. Honestly, some of you wouldn’t still be here. Anyway, let me just buy something to relax.”
