Peter Obi has once again shown his dedication to education and healthcare by donating ₦10 million to the College of Nursing Sciences in Mbano, Imo State. This contribution aligns with his mission to invest in sectors that play a crucial role in Nigeria’s growth.
The College of Nursing Sciences has grown significantly over the years. Starting as a simple School of Nursing, it has now become a full-fledged College, producing well-trained nurses and midwives who contribute to society. Obi expressed his joy over the institution’s progress and confidence that his financial support would aid further development.
In his statement, Peter Obi highlighted the urgent need for more funding in education and healthcare, especially during challenging times. He believes resources should be directed towards these vital sectors instead of being wasted on unnecessary luxuries. Supporting these institutions, he said, is the key to creating an educated and healthy population capable of driving Nigeria’s transition from a consumer-based economy to a production-driven one.
Peter Obi also took the opportunity to thank those who have been working tirelessly to improve Nigeria’s education and health sectors. He remains hopeful that collective efforts will bring about the better Nigeria everyone dreams of.
“Together, we can build the New Nigeria we all deserve. It is POssible,” he concluded.
