Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has strengthened the state’s judiciary by swearing in four new high court judges and two khadis. The ceremony was held on Friday, December 20, at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, with many top judicial and political figures in attendance.
During his speech, Governor Idris announced the approval of ₦300 million to buy vehicles for the new judges and khadis. He emphasized his commitment to the welfare of judiciary staff, describing it as a priority for his administration. The governor also encouraged the newly appointed judges to act with fairness and integrity in their roles.
One of the new judges, Muhammad Nuradeen Abdulrahman, is a well-known lawyer celebrated for his courage and commitment to justice. Before his appointment, he was widely respected for always standing by the truth, no matter the consequences.
In addition to the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Idris flagged off the National Qur’anic Recitation Competition at the Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic in Birnin Kebbi.
