Ukraine has revealed a new laser weapon that can shoot down aircraft from more than a mile away. Vadym Sukharevskyi, the Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems, shared this breakthrough at a recent defense summit in Kyiv. According to Sukharevskyi, the laser is capable of hitting aircraft at an altitude of over 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles).
The laser weapon, named Tryzub, is named after Ukraine’s national symbol, the trident, which represents the country’s strength, unity, and independence. While Sukharevskyi did not provide more details on the technology, reports suggest that the weapon is still being developed to increase its power and reach.
This new advancement in military technology represents a significant step forward for Ukraine’s defense efforts, showcasing their ability to create innovative tools to protect the country.
