President Bola Tinubu has postponed the presentation of the 2025 national budget to the National Assembly. Initially scheduled for Tuesday, the event has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

The proposed N47.9 trillion budget was to be delivered to both legislative houses on Tuesday. However, reports from the National Assembly indicate that the presentation will now take place on the new date.

While the reasons for the delay remain unclear, a senior official from the Assembly assured that the budget presentation on Wednesday is confirmed and will proceed as planned.

The official also stated that a formal announcement regarding the postponement will be released shortly.
