President Bola Tinubu enjoys peace of mind and restful nights because of the strong leadership provided by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. This was revealed by Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate majority leader, during an event in Abuja on December 9.

The event, held to celebrate Akpabio’s 62nd birthday, was hosted by Senate spokespersons. Bamidele praised Akpabio’s ability to maintain stability in the upper legislative chamber, highlighting how his leadership reassures the President and strengthens the nation’s governance.

Bamidele’s remarks emphasized the importance of Akpabio’s role in fostering unity and efficiency within the Senate, which in turn contributes to the smooth running of the government.

In his words;

‘’I know one of the reasons he (Tinubu) is able to sleep well is because he has you (Akpabio) as the president of the Senate, He trusts you. He depends on you. Mr President of the Senate, we are all very proud of you. I’m standing with my colleagues. I’m always privileged to speak on their behalf and I know I’m not saying anything other than what they expect me to say. We are very proud of you. We just want to thank you for who you are and we want to thank you for the kind of leadership that you provide.”
