13-Year-Old Girl Seen Dangling 60 Feet from Ferris Wheel

A terrifying moment unfolded at a village fair in Uttar Pradesh, India, when a 13-year-old girl narrowly avoided a tragic accident. The incident happened on December 4 in Rakehti village, Nighasan area of Lakhimpur Kheri district, located about 130 kilometers from Lucknow.

The girl was riding a Ferris wheel when she lost her balance and slipped from her gondola as the ride started moving. Left clinging to an iron rod, she dangled 60 feet above the ground, sending the crowd below into panic.

For about a minute, the girl hung on as the operator worked to stop the ride. Thankfully, she was safely rescued without any injuries.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajiv Nigam assured the public that the girl is unharmed and that action has been taken against the Ferris wheel operator for neglecting safety measures.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in amusement rides and the need for proper maintenance and supervision to avoid such mishaps in the future.
