In a heartbreaking accident in Jigawa State, three people have been confirmed dead, and 14 others injured after a bus collided with an empty truck. The crash occurred in the Gwaram Local Government Area along the old Gwaram road, when a bus with 17 passengers crashed into a Dangote trailer.
According to the police, the accident took place at Kwanar Mangwarori, when the bus, with registration number KTG 196 XC, hit the truck, driven by Musbahu Yakubu, who is now on the run. The truck was reportedly on its way from Gwaram to Kano.
Sadly, three of the passengers in the bus died at the scene. The victims have been identified as Idris Nuhu, Khadija Kabiru, and Shamsuddeen Ibrahim. The remaining injured passengers were taken to Gwaram Cottage Hospital for treatment.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, while rescue teams continue to provide support. Authorities are urging drivers to be more cautious on the roads to prevent such tragedies.
