Speaking during a visit by the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes to the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja on November 12, 2024, Olukoyede said the level of corruption in the sector is so extensive that it would move anyone to tears.
The EFCC Chairman’s comments bring to light the deep-rooted issues within the power sector, which is vital to the country’s development. According to Olukoyede, the scale of the corrupt activities is beyond imagination, highlighting an urgent need for change and stronger measures to address the problem.
This revelation from the EFCC Chairman has raised concerns about the ongoing efforts to reform the power sector and the need for more transparency and accountability. The public is now calling for swift actions to root out corruption and ensure that the sector serves the best interests of the Nigerian people.
