Abia PDP Challenges Otti to Provide Proof of N90 Billion Debt Payments

The Abia State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has raised serious concerns about Governor Allex Otti’s recent claim that he paid off N90 billion in debts to contractors. According to the PDP, they are unaware of any such debt incurred by the previous PDP-led administration, and they are asking the governor to provide solid proof to back up his statements.

In an open letter addressed to Governor Otti, the PDP emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability. They questioned how such a huge sum was paid without clear documentation or a verifiable process. The party also requested that the governor disclose the names of the individuals and companies that received these payments, as this information is crucial for maintaining public trust in the administration.

The PDP also expressed concern over the involvement of Signature Bank in these transactions. With speculation growing around the legitimacy of the payments, the PDP urged the governor to assure the people of Abia that these transactions were made legally and with integrity. They pointed out that transparency in handling public funds is critical to keeping the confidence of the people.

The letter concluded by urging Governor Otti to clarify the situation as soon as possible. The PDP believes that clearing up the confusion surrounding the N90 billion payment will help ensure that Abians can trust their leaders and that the state’s finances are handled properly.
