Ogun: Governor Abiodun Loses Aide, Egunjobi To Death

The people of Ogun State are mourning the loss of Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi, Special Adviser on Housing to Governor Dapo Abiodun, who passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness. Known for his dedication, humility, and hard work, Egunjobi’s sudden death has left a gap in the state government.

Governor Abiodun, during a visit to console Egunjobi’s family, expressed his deep sadness, describing Egunjobi’s death as a “rude shock.” The governor noted that Egunjobi played a crucial role in developing Ogun’s housing sector and called him a dependable and diligent member of his team. He said Egunjobi’s contributions would be felt for years to come, highlighting how the state’s recent housing accomplishments were, in many ways, driven by his advisor’s efforts.

“He was a very humble, hardworking, conscientious, dependable, and reliable special adviser to this government. His loyalty and dedication to his duties were exceptional,” Governor Abiodun said, adding, “Besides being an architect, he was a consummate politician and a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.”

The State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, also paid tribute to Egunjobi, calling him a loyal politician whose dedication was central to Ogun State’s housing achievements.

In a statement on behalf of the family, Noah Tajudeen thanked the Ogun State government for its support during this difficult time and wished the governor continued success in his work for the state.
