Linda Chiamaka Obi, a former member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was abducted by bandits on Saturday, November 3, 2024, while traveling home after her passing-out parade in Kebbi State.

The incident occurred in Zungeru, Niger State, when the bandits attacked a vehicle traveling from Kebbi to Onitsha, Anambra State. Chiamaka was kidnapped along with a family of four, and sadly, a male passenger was killed during the attack.

The driver of the vehicle and two other passengers were injured and are currently receiving medical care in a hospital. Chiamaka Obi is originally from Ogbuokwe Edenta, Okwietiti, Imo State, and she graduated from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede.

This tragic event highlights the growing threat of banditry in the region, as many innocent people continue to fall victim to such attacks.
