Recent reports from Swedish media indicate that Mbappé was involved in an incident at a hotel in Stockholm on October 10th. He has denied these allegations, but the controversy is casting a shadow over his much-anticipated move to Real Madrid.

While Mbappé started his career at the Bernabéu well, scoring seven goals in 11 games, the club is said to be dissatisfied with his performance both on and off the field. Romain Molina, a French football journalist, has suggested that Real Madrid feels they made a mistake in signing him.

“They regret bringing him in; I guarantee that,” Molina said in a recent interview. He emphasized that the club’s expectations have not been met and that the decision to sign Mbappé was largely driven by the club president, Florentino Pérez, rather than a collective team decision.

Molina expressed disappointment over Mbappé’s current form, noting that it has not reached the expected levels. He pointed out that Mbappé did not have a proper preseason and was thrown into action immediately, unlike teammate Jude Bellingham. Molina raised concerns about Mbappé’s physical condition, stating, “The physical drop-off that he has had at 25, I have never seen that.”
