Okocha: Fubara’s Actions Are Hurting His Chances in the 2027 Elections

Tony Okocha, the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has spoken out about the challenges facing Governor Sim Fubara as the 2027 governorship election approaches. Okocha believes that Fubara is creating problems for himself that could impact his chances in the upcoming election.

Okocha pointed out that Fubara’s ongoing conflict with former Governor Nyesom Wike continues despite efforts from President Bola Tinubu and other political figures to resolve the issues. He stated that a peaceful resolution could be possible if Fubara respects the rule of law.

During a recent press conference in Abuja, Okocha said, “Wike played a major role in Fubara’s rise to governorship. Fubara is not an experienced politician, and he is making choices that could hurt his reputation.”

Okocha is determined to weaken Fubara and the APC’s standing before the election. He is confident that Wike’s political influence in Rivers State remains strong and will not be easily shaken. “For the next 10 years, I don’t see anyone dismantling Wike’s political structure. It’s going to be a tough challenge,” he emphasized.

As the 2027 elections draw closer, the political landscape in Rivers State continues to evolve, with Okocha positioning himself and his party for success against Fubara’s administration.
