Police Stop Third Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump

Police have successfully stopped a third attempt to assassinate former President Donald Trump. This incident occurred during a rally in Coachella Valley, California, where authorities arrested a man from Las Vegas named Vem Miller. He was found with a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine.

According to Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, Miller is believed to be a member of a right-leaning anti-government group. He allegedly planned to kill Trump but was stopped when he tried to enter a checkpoint with fake VIP and press passes. Sheriff Bianco noted that Miller identifies as a “sovereign citizen,” a group that does not recognize government laws unless they agree to them.

“They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,” Bianco told the group. “We probably stopped another assassination attempt.”

Miller was taken into custody for possessing a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine. After posting bail of $5,000 for each of his two charges, he was released shortly after his arrest.

This alarming development comes as Trump’s campaign remains vigilant following two earlier assassination attempts. The first occurred on July 13, when a 20-year-old shot at Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, before being killed by Secret Service agents. The second attempt took place on August 15 in Florida, where a 58-year-old man was arrested for aiming a rifle at Trump while he was golfing.

With these threats against Trump, it is clear that the former president’s safety continues to be a major concern as he campaigns for the presidency again.
