Nigerian actress Ini Edo has recently spoken out to address rumors about her getting engaged. In September 2024, a picture she shared on her official page caused quite a buzz. In the photo, Ini Edo was wearing a traditional Efik bridal gown, and the love-themed caption left many fans believing that she might be getting married soon.

However, in a new interview with Premium Times, Ini Edo set the record straight. She revealed that the photo was not an engagement announcement but was instead a promotion for her upcoming TV series, My Fairytale Wedding, a four-part show about weddings.

“I’m not crazy about marriage; I am crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points.”

When asked about her own thoughts on marriage, Ini Edo shared that she is no longer focused on it. Marriage, she said, is no longer a priority in her life. This may come as no surprise, as Ini Edo was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina. They married in 2008 but went their separate ways in 2014.

By clearing up the misunderstanding, Ini Edo has made it clear that, for now, she’s more focused on her career and other aspects of life than on walking down the aisle again.
