A shocking incident occurred in Nairobi, Kenya, where a husband is accused of burning his wife’s house out of jealousy. The dispute arose from domestic issues, as the woman had recently purchased the house through a mortgage. This made her husband feel envious, especially since he had nothing to his name.

According to a Facebook post by Eric Mboya on September 25, 2024, the husband bought petrol and set the house ablaze. Reports say he even chased away anyone who tried to come close and help put out the fire. This tragic event highlights the extreme consequences that jealousy and domestic disputes can lead to.

“A woman in Nairobi will tonight sleep outside after the husband torched her house. The two had been having differences for sometime. Today, the man went and bought petrol, poured on the house and lit a kiberiti. He made sure everything was burnt down as he watched and chased anyone who tried to come close. The woman had acquired the house through mortgage and the husband was jealous because he has nothing,” he wrote.
