On Sunday, September 15, the Njaba Divisional Headquarters in Imo State faced a violent attack. Armed assailants arrived in three SUVs and opened fire on the police station. Fortunately, the police responded quickly and effectively.
According to ASP Henry Okoye, the police managed to repel the attack and neutralize three of the attackers. The remaining assailants, who were injured, fled into the nearby bushes. During the attack, the police recovered a General Purpose Machine Gun, an AK-47 rifle, and three vehicles: a Toyota Lexus 470, a Mercedes GLK, and a Toyota Venza.
CP Aboki Danjuma, the Commissioner of Police for Imo State, commended the officers for their bravery and assured the public that efforts are underway to capture the remaining suspects. The police are dedicated to enhancing security in the state and will continue to take strong action against any threats to public safety.
