A romantic moment in a car turned into a near-disaster for a couple in Philadelphia. On August 28, around 4:15 a.m., their 2020 Range Rover rolled into the Schuylkill River while they were in the backseat.
According to police, one of the couple’s limbs bumped into the gear stick, causing the SUV to tumble over the edge and into the water near Fairmount Park. The couple managed to escape before the car sank, and thankfully, neither of them was hurt.
The SUV was recovered from the river around 9 a.m. The police confirmed that no charges will be filed against the couple.
