The APC in Osun State has taken aim at Governor Ademola Adeleke and his family over their recent donation of N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Lagos. This donation, announced by Dr. Deji Adeleke, was made in honor of their late mother, Esther Adeleke, a long-time member of the church.

The APC, through its chairman Tajudeen Lawal, has criticized the governor for making such a large donation while the state is struggling financially. They argue that donating such a significant amount of money at this time seems irresponsible and may lead people to believe that the funds came from the state’s resources.

Lawal expressed that while supporting religious groups is not inherently wrong, the timing and size of this donation raise concerns. He suggested that it might indicate poor advice or disregard for advice from the governor’s numerous aides.

The APC’s reaction highlights the broader concern about financial management and priorities in Osun State during Adeleke’s tenure.
