The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is urgently seeking assistance in locating two of its officials who have been reported missing. On July 29, 2024, Mr. Okun Christopher, the NYSC Akwa-Ibom State Coordinator, and his driver, Mr. Daniel Effiong Asibong, disappeared while traveling between Onitsha and Owerri. They were en route to Uyo in Akwa-Ibom State in a white Hilux vehicle, registered with the number 27D31FG.

According to a statement issued by Eddy Megwa, Director of Information and Public Relations for NYSC, the two officials were last heard from while they were in transit. Since then, extensive efforts to track them down have been unsuccessful, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.

The NYSC is calling on the public for help. If you have any information regarding the missing officials, please contact any of the 37 NYSC State Secretariats or Area Offices, the National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, or your nearest police station. Any details that could lead to their safe return would be greatly appreciated.
