A lecturer at Benue State University in Makurdi was recorded physically assaulting a young man during a class.

Mr. Ichor Tersagh, a visiting lecturer from the Department of Microbiology at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, was filmed slapping and knocking the young man on the head in the front of a lecture hall.

There are different stories about who the young man is.

Some people say he is a street vendor who entered the class without realizing that a lecture was in progress.

Others claim he is a student who walked into the classroom while the lecturer was teaching.
