Hon. Olaide Akinremi, who represented the Ibadan North federal constituency, has been laid to rest following his passing.
The burial of the late lawmaker took place on Thursday, July 11, at his residence in Ologuneru, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere, presided over the burial rites.
The funeral ceremony was attended by a large gathering of family members, friends, political associates, and mourners who came to pay their respects.
Notable dignitaries present at the burial included Hon. Stanley Odidiomo, Hon. Abass Agboworin, Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, and Olawale Sadare.
Akinremi passed away in Abuja on July 10 after a brief illness. His body was transported to Ibadan early the next day.
Akinremi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), first elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, served as the representative for the Ibadan North federal constituency.
At the time of his passing, Akinremi was 51 years old and had dedicated two terms to serving his constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.
