Popular movie producer Ason Rich, who hails from Asaba, Delta State, is said to have been one of the kidnappers that the Lagos State Police Command killed last week. 

After an intelligence operation, sources state that on July 4, the Lagos Police Command killed nine kidnappers and injured two more. 

The command’s Special Squad One Team confronted the kidnappers at Ajao, Okota, Isolo, and Ladipo, among other parts of Lagos, and foiled their attempt to kidnap affluent people. Nollywood actor Stanley Nwoke Ontop emphasized Ason’s standing as a well-known producer in Asaba and urged the Actors Guild of Nigeria to thoroughly investigate its members’ backgrounds.
