A Nigerian man, Oladip Oshodi, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison in the UK for assaulting and raping a woman who jumped from a window to escape. Oshodi, 48, from Dagenham, East London, was convicted of two counts of rape, administering a harmful substance, threats to kill, grievous bodily harm, and coercive behavior.
The incident occurred in July 2023 when Oshodi made unwanted sexual advances towards the victim at his home. Despite her refusal, he raped her twice and subjected her to a violent beating. The victim escaped by jumping from a window and was rescued by passersby who called the police. Oshodi showed no remorse throughout the trial.
